Mr. Hashmi served United Nations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad as a Desk Officer and Deputy Director (Disarmament). He also held the post of Director (India) and Director (Disarmament). He worked in various diplomatic positions in Pakistan’s Embassies in Copenhagen (1999-2002) and Beijing (2008-2010). He twice served Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York from 2004-2007 and 2011 till date.

Mr. Hashmi specialized in multilateral diplomacy and acquired expertise in security and disarmament issues, as well as Pakistan’s relations with major countries and regions. He has over 15 years management experience particularly in large Pakistan Missions in New York and Beijing, apart from Copenhagen and at the Headquarters in Islamabad. His special areas of focus included chief coordinator for over 12 high level visits of Pakistan’s Prime Minister/President abroad, security and logistic responsibilities for OIC Summit and Ministerial Conferences in Islamabad; human resource development, financial, budgetary, purchase and renovation projects among others. He is currently serving as Counsellor for Disarmament and Non-proliferation issues at the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations in New York.

Nasir Khan holds PhD in Development Studies from Centre for Development Studies, University of Auckland, New Zealand.  He has more than 19 years of experience in the Ministry of Finance. He served as a research Analyst and research associate in various institutes of UAE, Australia and Pakistan. He also wrote a book titled “Growth Fault in Developing Countries: a capabilities approaching assessment of Pakistan growth in the 1960’s”.

Sohail Tajik got Fulbright Humphrey Fellowship from University of Minnesota Law School, Minneapolis, United States and holds a masters degree in Criminal Justice Policy from London School of Economics, United Kingdom. He served Punjab as a Chief of District Police, Federal Investigation Agency Islamabad as an Additional Director, Federal Investigation Agency, Peshawar as Deputy Director, United Nations Mission in Liberia ( Tubmanburg), as a Regional Chief of Security, United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) and United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) as an Investigator. He also got Prestigious Presidential Civil Award “Tamgha e Imtiaz” in 2009. Currently he is a Chief of District Police of Faisalabad, Pakistan.

Mr. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh is a career diplomat from Pakistan with two decades of experience. He is currently a Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad following return from deputation to OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah where he served for around five years as Secretary General’s Spokesman/Executive Director OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC).  Being the first designated spokesman in the four decades long history of the Organization, he advocated OIC positions and promoted its image at important venues including National Press Club in Washington DC, Wilton Park in London, German Bundestag in Berlin, UN press centres/offices/ bodies in New York and Geneva and a host of other think tanks, universities and national institutions in both the West and the Muslim World. As part of the Secretary General’s core team and the focal point at OIC on Human Rights and dialogue with the West, Mr. Sheikh lead – from finalizing the statute  to operationalization - the pioneering effort that established OIC Independent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) - in half the stipulated time - through a transparent, inclusive and credible process widely acknowledged by the relevant international human rights bodies

As a diplomat in the Foreign Service of Pakistan Mr. Sheikh has a diversified experience with particular reference to multilateral diplomacy. In addition to his participation in a number of multilateral processes on subjects including globalization, international trade, health, intellectual property and human rights, he has been the lead negotiator on behalf of Groups like NAM and G-77 and China in over 20 multilateral negotiations particularly during his tenure as a member of Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva. He was the Chair of the Geneva Chapter G-77 and China in the year 2006. Later, he moved to Jeddah as the first appointee against the newly created OIC specific post at The Pakistan Mission. As Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to OIC, Mr. Sheikh led the intergovernmental negotiations that finalized the new OIC Charter during Pakistan’s Chairmanship of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in 2007-08. He moved to the OIC General Secretariat on Deputation in 2009.  Earlier during his career, he served on important positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan including the UN, the US and the South Asia Divisions.

Before joining the Foreign Service, Mr. Sheikh started his career as a banker. He has been a broadcaster and has a diversified experience as a public speaker and panelist at prestigious academic institutions international fora including UN Human Rights Council, South Center, Lisbon Forum etc.

Sehyr holds Masters in Development Studies from University of London – SOAS. He had More than ten years of extensive professional experience in development, public and private sectors, monitoring & evaluation, private sector development, project management, results-based management, community-driven development with various governments, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donor agencies.

He served PILDAT as a Project Officer, Kaarvan Crafts Foundation as a Marketing Advisory Services Advisor, J.E. Austin (PISDAC, a USAID funded project) as a Specialist Competitiveness and M&E , Akhuwat Foundation as M&E Consultant, Punjab Resource Management Program (PRMP), Planning & Development Department as Deputy Program Director. Now he is a Voice & Accountability Manager at EVA-BHN, DFID
